Youth Program Supervisor
Title: Youth Program Supervisor
Reports to: Recreation Director
Full Time – $3,117 - $4,501 Monthly
Opening date: February 10, 2021

Responsible for the management and supervision of all youth recreation programs, classes, activities and events. Responsible for planning, promoting, implementing, and supervising all youth programming and outreach services, including but not limited to: early childhood education, after school
adventure program, summer camps, and gymnastics.
Direct, manage, and participate in the development, review, implementation and evaluation of all youth recreation programming with the assistance of three youth program coordinators. Program areas include but are not limited to: playschool, preschool, prekindergarten, after school enrichment (ASAP program), summer camps, gymnastics, and all youth classes.
Manages all personnel matters according to established policies and procedures including: hiring, training, supervision, and evaluations of staff and volunteers.
Develops regular class schedules and programming. Oversees input of all youth recreation programs in the District computerized registration system.
Ensures compliance with safety, health, personnel, industry and other regulations, by maintaining appropriate records and documentation.
Assists in the preparation of district brochures and flyers.
Responds to staff and public questions, concerns, and requests as needed.
Provides support to staff in planning, promoting, and evaluating special event activities. Coordinate with other departments to ensure setup and cleanup of events.
Ensures compliance with USDA snack program.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to take initiative with minimal supervision.
Proficient in developing program goals, activities, and services to meet the needs of patrons.
Strong skills in oral and written communication.
Proficient principles of supervision and personnel practices to provide leadership to a diverse work force.
Experience in program analysis and record keeping.
Applicable knowledge in the areas of marketing practices and trends.
Working knowledge of computerized recreation software.
Work will be performed in an office setting. The ability to lift and/or setup for events and activities will be required.
Bachelor’s degree in recreation or a related field.
Two years leadership and supervisory experience in a public agency. Operational experience with computer registration systems is required.
Salaried. Evenings and/or weekends may be required.
