Our Board of Directors is composed of five volunteer members elected by registered voters. Each board member serves a four-year term of office.

The Role and Responsibilities of the Board Members:
River Road Park & Recreation District is a special tax district formed in 1957 to administer park and recreation services in the River Road area. The Board is designated as the governing body for the District and has administrative authority.
The Board is made up of five members elected by voters who must reside within the District.
Individual board members do not have the authority to act on behalf of the District as individuals, only as members of the greater Board of Directors.
Public board meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month beginning at 6:00 pm.
River Road Park & Recreation District (the "District") is committed to ensuring that its services are accessible to all
