Middle School Camp

​

Grades 6-8. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt during their first session of the summer. All camps are held at River Road Park and Recreation District. Permission slips, medical release forms, and behavior contracts are required at the time of registration. There is a Google Docs link on your receipt for you to submit permission slip and medical release form information; the behavior contract will be available to sign on the camper’s first session. Dress appropriately for the weather and activities.

Week 1     6/26-6/29        The Great Outdoors
Campers will enjoy the outdoor spaces of Oregon in this adventurous week of camp! We will be hiking and exploring local trails and end our week with a rafting trip down the McKenzie River.

Week 2     7/10-7/13        Video Games IRL
Campers will have to use more than their thumbs to play these “video games”! We’ll be heading to Defy (Super Mario), Emerald Lanes (Wii Sports), and Diamond Hill Paintball (Fortnite) for a week of fun.

Week 3     7/24-7-27         To Eugene and Beyond!
Not only will campers be helpers in the Summer Daze program in the morning, they will also get to head into the community for hiking, swimming, and bouldering! Please bring a swimsuit and towel every day.

Week 4     8/7-8/10           Full STEAM Ahead
Campers will get their STEAM on, exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and math by heading to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, the Eugene Science Center, Cultural History Museum, and more!

Week 5     8/21-8/24         Oceans and Rivers
This week will be focused on the beaches and oceans of Oregon, heading to Hatfield Marine Science Center, the Sea Lion Caves, and beaches of Florence and Newport, and more! This week has elongated hours due to the drive time to the coast.
