Nancy Forrest and her husband, Daljeer Ollek, bought a home in the River Road Park and Recreation District in 1996.  They raised two sons, Bayunt and Gobind here. The park and district facilities provided a local, affordable option for their young family to recreate. Their family also hosted dozens of birthday parties in the park, taking advantage of the wading pool and water facilities throughout the year. Nancy's sons learned to swim in the pool, moving up through the well organized class offerings. As teenagers they enjoyed the skate park. Nancy's husband uses the gym now that he has retired. Nancy has always loved the hot tubs and sauna and gets there as many times a week as possible. Since Nancy is retired, she is very excited to learn that there are many types of classes and events that she can participate in.

Nancy believes that the District is a true gem, and invites her friends to join her there regularly. She values what we inherited from the previous generation and wants to make sure the District can continue to provide all of the wonderful and affordable services and programming we are known for.

Nancy is grateful to the community members who support the District through taxes and to those who have discovered this treasure as out of district patrons. She looks forward to hearing from anyone who has something to say or to ask about our well loved District.
