We are excited to meet your kindergarteners! Camp hours for our kindergarteners are 9:00-1:00. Please make sure that you have filled out our summer camp permission form, youth behavior management agreement, and the non-prescribed medication form.
Please send your child with these items daily:
● Lunch (We are unable to take the kindergarteners to the free lunch program because it is during our swim time)
● Water Bottle
● Sunscreen
● Swimsuit
● Towel
● Appropriate clothing for running and playing
● Shoes that your child can run in!
(Remember to put their name on all of their belongings!)
*Please leave any toys at home. (These tend to get broken, lost, or cause arguments)
Drop off will be at 9:00 in front of room A/B. Pick up will be at 1:00 outside next to the wading pool. There is no before or after care for this program.
*When checking out your child, leaders will be asking to see an ID and making sure the ID matches the name on your child’s approved pick up list. Anyone who will be picking up your child will need an ID each day of camp.
Your child will still be in their swimwear at pick up time. If you would like to change your child after camp feel free to use our classroom or bathrooms located in the building. We ask that you change your child away from the rest of the campers being picked up.
We can’t wait for all the fun we are going to have this summer. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Thank you,

Camp Schedule
Monday 6/29- Upper Shotgun Creek Hike and Swimming
We will be hiking the Upper Shotgun Creek trail during the morning, and then heading to River Road Park for swimming in the afternoon. Be sure to send your child with a towel and swimsuit! For this hike, we also recommend sending your child in pants due to the foliage in the area.
Tuesday 6/30- Heceta Head Lighthouse
We will be heading to Florence to hike near the Heceta Head Lighthouse, then spending some time on the beach for a relaxing afternoon.
Wednesday 7/1- Cooking and Splash
We will kick off our morning by walking over to River Road Park and Recreation to do a little cooking project in the kitchen before heading over to Splash to swim in the afternoon. Be sure to send your child with a towel and swimsuit!
Thursday 7/2- Rafting the McKenzie with Helfrich Outfitters
Please make sure that your child has clothing and shoes to get wet in, as well as dry clothes to change into after rafting. Please be sure that you arrive at the Maxwell Hub between 8am and 8:30am on this day since we will be driving up the McKenzie River to our put-in area. If you are not checked in by 8:30am, we will be leaving without you. We will be returning by 5pm on this day, though it is dependent on the river flow. You must sign the Helfrich Outfitters waiver in order to attend this field trip. On the waiver, make sure to check the box on the bottom marked “I WANT a helmet”, as all youth are required to have one through River Road Park and Recreation. We will be rafting from the Forest Glen Boat Landing to the Helfrich Landing.
Please dress in clothes to get wet, including footwear (sandals with a back strap, water shoes, old sneakers without socks). Please do not send your child in jeans or sweatshirts for the river. Quick dry fabrics are best. Please make sure to send your child with a water bottle and lunch for rafting. We will have a chance to change clothes after we get off the river, so please be sure to send a towel and dry clothes for after!
