SUMMER ADVENTURE CAMPS

​

Entering grades 1-5 Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt during their first session of summer. All camps are held at River Road Park. Permission slip and medical release are required at time of registration. Bring a swimsuit and towel each day. Camp groups will be formed by grade levels. Full week only, no daily fee offered. Drop off in the modular building. You may drop off your child as early as 7:30a and pick up as late as 5:30p. Camp activities begin at 9a.

Week 1     6/19-6/23     Fun in the Sun
Campers will be celebrating the beginning of summer this week. Mighty Monday, campers will learn fun camp songs and use their mighty voices to sing songs with other groups. Tropical Tuesday, campers will twin with other campers while playing group games and create fun friendship crafts. Wacky Wednesday, campers can come to camp in their wackiest outfits. Twinning Thursday, sun, bright colors, and playing games outside. Fun Friday, come to camp ready to have fun, play games, and hang out with all our new friends.

Week 2     6/26-6/30     Animal Adventures
Campers will get to have fun playing games while learning about animals and why they do the things they do. Groups will create fun animal themed projects and head up to the Portland Zoo on Thursday. Don’t miss out on this wild fun adventure.

Week 3     7/3-7/7     Holiday Mashup
Why only celebrate one holiday this week, when we can celebrate four. Monday camp will be celebrating Valentine’s Day and decorating the camp with hearts. Tuesday Camp will be Closed for the 4th of July. Wednesday we will be turning the camp green for St. Patrick’s Day. Thursday dress in your best costume and come trick or treating with us as we celebrate Halloween. Friday we will finish the week by celebrating the 4th of July with our BBQ afternoon snack and kickball game.

Week 4     7/10-7/14     Space Exploration 
Campers will be exploring the stars and planets of our galaxy. This week we will be creating out of this world crafts and playing intergalactic games. Join us for our week of space adventures.

Week 5    7/17-7/21        Just Keep Swimming
This week camp will be spending the week chillin’ in the water. Campers will have fun with water games and each group will be heading to Corvallis’ Osborn Aquatic Center to swim and play at the pool. Field trip days for each group are as follows; Group 5 – Monday 7/17, Group 4 – Tuesday 7/18, Group 3 – Wednesday 7/19, Group 2 – Thursday 7/20, Group 1 – Friday 7/21.

Week 6     7/24-7/28         X-Marks the Spot
Ahoy there matey! Can you walk the plank, swab the deck, or search for gold. Come join us this week for fun pirate shenanigans. Campers will be sailing seven seas, exploring, and hunting for treasure.

Week 7     7/31-8/4           Culinary Showdown
Cooking and more. Campers will get to make and eat, two fun and exciting recipes each day this week. So, grab your apron and get ready to mix things up. Groups will also be playing fun food themed games and creating food themed crafts. *NOTE campers will be working on creating these fun recipes as a group.

Week 8     8/7-8/11           Mad Science
Rubber eggs, erupting volcanoes, invisible ink. This week is all about science and fun experiments. Thursday Adventure Camp will be heading up to Portland to visit OMSI.

Week 9     8/14-8/18         Music Mayhem
Dancing and singing, moving, and grooving. Campers will be jumping and twirling through the week, while learning camp songs, creating some fun dance moves, and having a melody of delight.

Week 10     8/21-8/25         Final Countdown
Join us at camp as we count down the last days of summer.
Monday – Game Day: kids get to choose which games camp plays all day long.
Tuesday – Taco Tuesday: We will be serving tacos for lunch today.
Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday: Feel free to wear your silliest outfit and craziest hair to camp, and don’t forget to bring your white shirt to TYE DYE at camp today.
Thursday – PJ Day: Come to camp in your PJ’s today and enjoy some pancakes, watch a movie, and eat some popcorn.
Friday – It’s A Party: It’s the final day of camp, so let’s go out with a bang. We will be playing games having fun and eating a special treat.
