Re-opening Guidelines for March 1, 2021

NO IN PERSON REGISTRATION. PLEASE CALL TO MAKE A RESERVATION!!

ALL FACILITIES

 

All guests will be required to review posted signage regarding the signs / symptoms of COVID-19 when entering the building If you are experiencing any of the follow, please stay home:

- Fever (above 100.4°)

- Cough

- Sore throat

- Shortness of breath

 

  • If you experience any of the above symptoms after you have made your appointment(s), please call 541-688-4052 to cancel.

 

  • Anyone who considers themselves as part of a “vulnerable population” is asked to stay home.

 

  • All guests are asked to sanitize their hands upon entering the facility. 

 

  • As per the Oregon Health Authority, the entire River Road Park and Recreation District Aquatic/Fitness Center is considered an “indoor, public space.” As a result, FACE MASKS must be worn at all times. 

 

 

 

AQUATICS

 

LAP SWIM / INDIVIDUALIZED WATER EXERCISE APPOINTMENTS

Beginning Monday, March 1 the pool is scheduled to open at 5:30 a.m. on a limited, modified schedule, Monday thru Friday.  Specific lap swim lanes and/or pool space for individualized water exercise will be available – BY PRE-PAID APPOINTMENT ONLY – throughout each weekday - 5:30a-2:40p and again from 7:05-7:50p.  FORTY-FIVE MINUTE APPOINTMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.  “Drop-ins” will not be permitted. 

 

Thursday, February 25,   In-District registration begins at 8a        

                                          Out-of-District registration begins at 10a 

 

You will be permitted to register for up to three (3) specific lap swim and/or individualized water exercise times per week for the week of March 1-March 5.  Continuing registration for following weeks will begin on Thursdays at the 8a. for In-District Residents and 10a for Out-of-District Residents.

 

  • NEW:  THE OREGON HEALTH AUTHORITY NOW REQUIRES THE ESTABLISHMENT OF “ONE-WAY TRAFFIC FLOW”.  PLEASE ABIDE BY THE POSTED SIGNAGE.

 

  • NEW:  THE OREGON HEALTH AUTHORITY IS REQUIRING ALL INDOOR, PUBLIC SPACES TO INCREASE AIR CIRCULATION AND VENTILATION.  As a result, you may notice that the change rooms may be a little cooler.

 

  • NEW:  THE OREGON HEALTH AUTHORITY HAS IMPOSED TEMPORARY OCCUPANCY RATES WITHIN OUR CHANGE ROOMS:

 

At this time, only four (4) guests will be permitted in each locker room / shower at any given time- two (2) in the changing area and two (2) in the shower area. This is to help enforce the social/physical distancing guidelines and limit congregation of guests.

 

LANES 1, 3, AND 5 WILL ENTER THE POOL FROM THE SHALLOW END; LANES 2, 4, AND 6 WILL ENTER THE POOL FROM THE DEEP END.  Specific lane assignments will occur as you “check in”. 

 

  • All lap swimmers and/or individualized water exercise guests must check in at the pool reception area.

 

  • The only time you are not required to wear a face mask is while you are in the shower or IN the water.  PLEASE KEEP YOUR FACE MASK ON UNTILYOU HAVE ENTERED THE WATER (pool or spas).  ONCE IN THE WATER, PLEASE LEAVE YOUR FACE MASK ON THE SIDE OF THE POOL.  Aquatic/Fitness Center has white hand towels available to you for you to place your face on once you are in the water.

 

ONCE YOU ARE FINISHED WITH YOUR SWIM/EXERCISE PROGRAM, PUT YOUR MASK ON WHILE EXITING THE POOL.

 

  • Social/physical distancing (6 feet) must be maintained throughout the facility, including the pool deck AND in the pool, itself.  PLEASE DO NOT CONGREGATE.

 

  • Lockers will NOT be available at this time.  Personal belongings may be stored on benches surrounding the pool deck as designated.

 

  • Pool equipment, i.e., kick boards, pull buoys, AquaJogger™ belts, HydroFit™ Buoyancy Resistance Cuffs, noodles, swim fins, etc., will NOT be available at this time.

 

  • Guests are encouraged to bring a personal water bottle.  Per the Oregon Health Authority, drinking fountains – with the exception of a bottle fill station located in the Fitness Center and a bottle fill station located in the “recreation” hallway – are NOT available.

 

The spas will be available, however, individual appointments MUST be made prior to use of one of the two spas. Despite all of the restrictions, we truly hope you enjoy your visit.   Pease be respectful.

The following Adult Fitness Classes will re-open March 1 to in person participation.  Registration is limited to safe capacity of room where activity is held. FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHEN IN OUR FACILITY.

FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHEN IN OUR FACILITY. 

 

Beginning March 8, 2021 we will be re-opening some of our gymnastic classes to returning students only. If you were enrolled in one of our classes prior to our closing in November, you will be contacted by our staff to find out if you are interested in re-enrolling.
