Hourly Child Care for Infants and Toddlers

The state of Oregon Health Department requires current immunizations records for each child before the first day of attendance. Pick up the official form when you register.

Ages 2 & 3 (as of September 1). This class offers your preschooler the opportunity to interact with children his/her own age. Our activities will enhance their physical, social, mental and emotional well-being. Activities will include arts, crafts, songs, stories, dramatic play, large muscle play and more. Please dress your child in play clothes. Playschool is especially geared for children ages two and three and for children away from mom their first time. Inst: Janice McHarry/Tina Mortemore

Ages 3 & 4 (as of September 1 and fully potty trained). During the school year we will learn to work and play as part of a group. We will make friends and learn to take turns and listen. We will learn to express our feelings in acceptable ways and to feel good about ourselves while in “school.”

Our activities will include songs, games, arts and crafts, cooking, musical instruments, dramatic play involving active and quiet time with a large variety of materials.

During the school year we will work on socialization skills, developing a positive self-image, colors, shapes, the alphabet (saying, recognizing and identifying), numbers (counting, forms, comparisons, sets), large and small motor control, musical instruments, songs, games, arts and crafts activities, cooking and providing a happy atmosphere to encourage personal growth.

Extended care service to children with working parents.

ASAP offers a variety of recreational activities promoting self-esteem, social skills and the value of using leisure time wisely. This extended care program is offered Monday through Friday after school and on all scheduled no school days and some holidays.

The program is based at the community center at Emerald Park. Transportation will be provided to the Emerald Park site from your school.

ASAP begins on the first day of school and ends on the last day of school.

We are currently serving students that attend Awbrey Park, Howard, Corridor, River Road School, Spring Creek and Yujin Gakuen elementary schools.

For information on fees, hours, registration and availability for your school please call the Park District Office at 688-4052 or your school’s office.

arrow Continuing ASAP participants can begin registration on Monday, June 1, 2009, for the 2009-10 school year. Priority will be given to continuing students and siblings.

Fun After School Time

For Middle schoolers at Kelly/Davinci. This after school enrichment program is a new partnership between River Road Park and the 4J school district, providing wholesome activities, snacks and homework club 4 days a week throughout the school year.
