Youth Classes

Dance Classes

Dance education provides more than just technical dance skill development. Benefits that are acquired through structured dance training carry over into so many other areas of activities, whether it's personal social or sports related. And these benefits can last a lifetime! Through consistent dance training, children can develop better posture, coordination, balance, endurance, grace, poise, timing and rhythm, self confidence, discipline of body and mind, self esteem, socialization and teamwork skills.

Observation-We ask that you limit your visitation of the dance classes to the first and last day of the session. We found that the students learn much faster without the distraction of parents and siblings in attendance. Thank you for your cooperation.

Pre-Ballet

Ages 3-4. Join us for a fun, creative introduction to ballet and general movement! In this beginning class, we’ll skip, hop, jump, spin, gallop, and more while practicing important dance (and life!) skills like staying in line and following the leader. No special clothes or shoes required, but come ready to move and have fun! (If you’ve taken dance classes with us before, this class is similar to Twinkle Toes.) Instructor: Eleanor Wakefield.

In it, we’ll do some creative movement--where they make up and explore their own moves--as well as learning new steps and kinds of movement together. We’ll do a bit of hip hop, tap, jazz, and ballet, so this class will let you move your way whatever your favorite is! No special shoes or clothes required, but do come ready and dressed to move a lot! (This class is similar to what we used to call Tiny Dancers.) Instructor: Eleanor Wakefield.
