Increase Your Body Awareness

NEW! River Road Park and Recreation District is now offering bodywork and massage based on the Feldenkrais Method® of movement education.
The Feldenkrais Method® will increase your awareness of how your body moves, and can benefit those with chronic or acute pain as well as other central nervous system conditions such as MS, Cerebral Palsy or stroke.

Foot Care

A nurse, trained in foot care, conducts individual half-hour sessions. The time is used for toenail cleaning and trimming. Please bring a towel and a basin with you to your appointment. No refund for no-shows or day-of-appointment cancellations. In fairness to the nurse and other clients, those who arrive more than 10 minutes later than their scheduled appointment will forfeit their spot and fee.

SHIBA Volunteers Here to Help You

Are you confused about Medicare? Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) offers a free counseling service. SHIBA volunteers have been able to help Medicare beneficiaries select a plan that is right for them. They do not sell insurance plans; they provide free education and counseling so that you are able to make an informed decision about your health coverage including Part D drugs plans. AARP Tax Aid Program

Income Tax Assistance. Trained volunteers, through AARP's Tax Aide Program, will help you with your federal and state income tax forms. Bring w-2 forms, records of any other earnings and a copy of last year's return. If itemizing, bring a list of expenses. Individuals with complex forms or tax assistance needs may be referred to professional tax preparers. Phone the park at 688-4052 for an appointment.
