Tips

Arrive 10-15 minutes early.
We will leave on time. You may get left behind if are late so please allow yourself enough time.
End times are estimated.
Please park vehicles in the back of the parking lot, near Lake Drive.
We use motor coaches when possible. When we do, it is customary to tip the driver $2-3 cash.
Make sure you have emergency info/contacts in your wallet.
Some are allergic to perfume so we ask that you keep your fragrance to a minimum.

Today we’re heading to Salem where we will enjoy the docent led tour of early settlement homes and Thomas Kay Woolen Mill. The Woolen Mill was recently written up in the Register Guard so it’s time we venture up and take a look. They will guide us through the exhibits and share the stories of the people, homes and businesses on site. Your cost includes: transportation, 2 tours and lunch.

It’s lavender festival time. Time to become one with lavender’s fresh aroma! The Broadway Rose in Portland is where we will enjoy tonight’s performance. instantZip Line Adventure

Feeling wild? Ever wanted to fly through the air with the greatest of ease? Now is your chance! Located 30 minutes west of Portland, Pumpkin Ridge Zip tour reaches heights of between 15 and 120 feet. The tour is designed to slowly ease people into the experience. Each line will steadily get higher, longer and faster, which is great because you will get braver and braver too. There are seven zip lines on the tour, plus three suspension bridges. Experienced guides will lead you through the course, so prior zip experience is not necessary. There will be some walking involved between some lines and at the beginning and end of the tour. There is a walk along a 90 degree suspension bridge, if you are able to comfortably climb a steep staircase - you can do it!  You need to be able to hold the cable trolley and lift your knees up while you are zipping.  Must not weigh over 280 pounds and you definitely want to wear sturdy shoes. Now, back to the fun stuff… flying through the air, seven incredible lines, spectacular views and an awesome good time. Check this one off your bucket list! Go Up, Up & Away – Hot Air Balloon Overnighter

Ok, here it is. We have had many requests to do this trip again. We begin with a guided tour of the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in McMinnville (location of the Spruce Goose.) We’ll check into our hotel for a quick rest and then head out for a nice dinner. We rise early to go to the balloon launch site for a once in a lifetime hot air balloon ride over the beautiful Yamhill valley. Afterward, we will enjoy an all you can eat champagne brunch. This is one you won’t want to miss.  Your cost includes: transportation, snack, dinner, hotel and balloon ride/brunch. The balloon company needs to know your weight so please leave that info when you register.

Hellgate Jetboat on the Rogue River

This will be a four hour, 36 mile jet boat trip through Hellgate Canyon with a stop at the OK Corral for an old fashioned, all you can eat, country banquet (including beer, wine, iced tea, coffee, etc.). Throughout the trip we will be looking for black tailed deer and other wildlife. There will also be commentary by our captain. This trip is a feast for the eyes and appetite. Ripley’s Believe It or Not

Today we will head to Newport for a day of fun!  First, we will enjoy the amazing Oregon Undersea Gardens where we will go deep on a live dive in their exclusive undersea theatre at the bottom of the sea!  This is home of the largest collection of local marine life to be found anywhere. Then we are off to Wax Works to see with ornate figurines and elaborate sets.  Hundreds of sculptures, each elaborately molded and detailed, each figure is created with incredible attention to detail.  Get ready for an incredibly fun day and be prepared to be amazed.  Your cost includes transportation, entrance fees, and lunch at Mo’s.

Depoe Bay Salmon Bake

Salmon cooked Indian style on stakes held up against an open fire is the highlight of this annual event at Depoe Bay. From the Outback to the Glaciers | October 8-28, 2018

This is going to be an incredible trip. You will definitely want to see the slideshow so you can see all the amazing places we will see and things we will do. Highlights include: Cairns, Great Barrier Reef, Melbourne, Alice Springs. Ayers Rock, Sydney, Sydney Opera House, Choice on Tour, Christchurch, Franz Josef Glacier Region, Queenstown, Skyline Restaurant, Milford Sound, Mt. Cook National Park and dining with a New Zealand family. Now is your chance to mark this off your bucket list. Your cost includes: round trip air out of Eugene, taxes and fees/surcharges, hotel, transfers, 21 fun filled days and 29 meals. Cancellation Fees

If you cancel and want a check refund, $5 will be deducted for admin processing. No cancellation fee for refunds in the form of a credit. No refund will be given if you cancel the day of the trip or if you're a no show. No refund or a partial refund will be given once River Road has incurred costs for booking trips (tickets, meals, hotel, etc. ).
