instantCottage Grover Dinner & Theater – “Curtains”

Have fun with us tonight as we head to Cottage Grove for the musical comedy whodunit – “Curtains.” From the creators of “Cabaret” and “Chicago” comes this bright and brassy musical set in 1959 Boston, where the Colonial Theatre is hosting the pre-Broadway run of a new musical. The show could be a success were it not for the extremely untalented leading lady. Jessica Cranshaw is a triple threat: she cannot act, sing, or dance (or remember when to say her lines). When she mysteriously dies on stage during the opening night curtain call, the entire cast and crew are suspects. Sounds like a fun evening to me.  A delicious dinner will be enjoyed before the show. Your cost includes: transportation, dinner and show.

instantChocolate Tour

Creo means to create and on this unique, behind the scenes chocolate factory tour, you will creatively design and take home your own personalized chocolate bar.  A ‘chocolate maker’ will show us the steps to making our chocolate, answer your questions and talk about what we all love to eat - chocolate!  We will be on the tour for about 30 minutes so there is some standing and walking. We will need to wear closed toe shoes.  Please don’t wear perfume, it can flavor the chocolate.  If we don’t get enough chocolate during our tour, we are headed to Chocolate Cake for lunch. Your cost includes: transportation, tour, lunch and a great day.

It features hits from the early decade of bubble gum classics to the late 60’s soulful sound. The production pays tribute to The Shirelles, Brenda Lee, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes and more. This is the music that thrilled a generation and you’re going to love it! Dinner will follow the show. Your cost includes:  transportation, tickets and dinner.

Romantic entanglements and comical misunderstanding abound in this hilarious cross-dressing comedy. Tonight is sure to please. Your cost includes: a wonderful dinner and show.

Cottage Grove Dinner & Theater – “Being Earnest”

Being Earnest: A trivial comedy for serious people is a play by Oscar Wilde. First performed on February 14, 1895 at the St. James’s Theatre in London, it is a farcical comedy in which the protagonists maintain fictitious personæ to escape burdensome social obligations. Working within the social conventions of late Victorian London, the play’s major themes are the triviality with which it treats institutions as serious as marriage, and the resulting satire of Victorian ways. Sounds like a fun evening, huh? A delicious dinner will be enjoyed before the show at Stacy’s Covered Bridge. Your cost includes: transportation, dinner and show.
