Arrive 10-15 minutes early.
We will leave on time. You may get left behind if are late so please allow yourself enough time.
End times are estimated.
Please park vehicles in the back of the parking lot, near Lake Drive.
We use motor coaches when possible. When we do, it is customary to tip the driver $2-3 cash.
Make sure you have emergency info/contacts in your wallet.
Some are allergic to perfume so we ask that you keep your fragrance to a minimum.

Are you ready for a fun day of tasting? Today we will drive south to the Roseburg area where we will tour River Ranch Oregon Olive Oil; a beautiful orchard with incredible views of tne North Umpqua River. It is here where we will learn all about olive oil while walking the ranch and learning it’s history. A lite luncheon will be enjoyed in this idealic setting. From here, we will head over to Melrose Vineyards. We’ll taste and sample some of their award winning wines and shop in their beautiful gift shop for some fun items to take home with you. Being Earnest: A trivial comedy for serious people is a play by Oscar Wilde. First performed on February 14, 1895 at the St. James’s Theatre in London, it is a farcical comedy in which the protagonists maintain fictitious personæ to escape burdensome social obligations. Working within the social conventions of late Victorian London, the play’s major themes are the triviality with which it treats institutions as serious as marriage, and the resulting satire of Victorian ways. It’s no secret - if you want to learn about Oregon’s history, visiting Oregon City should be your first stop! Today, we will enjoy the Museum of the Oregon Territory, overlooking majestic Willamette Falls. This is the second largest waterfall by volume in the United States. Then it’s off to the Oregon City municipal elevator; one of only four municipal elevators in the world. “Elevator Street” remains the only vertical street in North America so this is a must see.  We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then head off to the End of the Oregon Trail Museum, where it all started.  Your cost includes: transportation, lunch, tours.

Addams Family Theater with Dinner  

The Broadway Rose theater in Portland is one of our new favorite places to see a show. Tonight is sure to please. Who doesn’t love the Addams Family? Based on Charles Addams original macabre cartoons, the Addams Family finds the charmingly creepy clan facing a new nightmare: daughter Wednesday has fallen in love…with a nice young man from Ohio!! Little Ole Opry & Hilltop Dinner

Every summer, the Little Theater On the Bay in North Bend produces a show entitled Little Old Opry On The Bay and it always sells out. Featured are the best of the best from past shows as determined by critics and audience surveys. This is a high energy show with lots and lots of familiar songs. So put on your cowboy hat and spurs and let’s go. Cost includes: transportation, snack, theater and a delicious dinner at the Hilltop restaurant.

Children’s Farm House/Old School

This historic old school boasts classic charm and a sense of simple tradition.  Located in Corvallis, the historic old school educated thousands of children who lived at the children’s farm home before it was closed in 1978.  The historic school’s legacy was honored when it was placed on the national register of historic places in 2007.  In 2012, the building was officially reopened after months of major renovations. We will be welcome to enjoy the charm and history of this gorgeous space, and experience an era from long ago. We will visit the museum, peruse the gift shop and have lunch in the café. Beaching It!

Want to take your shoes off, walk in the sand, get your feet wet and have an old fashion picnic with a weenie roast and of course s’mores?  Today, we will head to the Yaquina Head natural area to explore the tide pools teeming with life. We will have a ranger available at the tide pools to walk around with us and talk about the marine life.  Don’t forget about the 93 foot tall light house that has been a bright beacon of the night since 1893.  Come enjoy a good ole time at the beach. Your cost includes: transportation, entrance fees to park and lighthouse and a grand bbq lunch.

Portland’s Broadway Rose theater puts on an amazing show. Timberline Lodge/Mt Hood

Timberline is a National Historic Landmark within the Mount Hood National Forest. It’s a popular spot known for the film -The Shining. Today we will tour and enjoy lunch here. Afterwards, we will continue on our way to Mt Hood Skibowl and ride the scenic sky chair where we will get a bird’s-eye view of Mt. Hood, the Cascade Mountain Range and up to four other volcanic mountain peaks as we ride up and down the mountain! You can ride the chair back down OR take the slide. The Pacific Northwest’s only ½ mile dual alpine slide, this major attraction sends you flying down a half mile track of twists and turns through mountain meadows before dropping you back off in the base area of Skibowl West. Two side-by-side tracks let you ride alongside friends at the speed of your choice. You can ride as a group or on your own. You can go as fast or as slow as you chose; you are always in control. Both options are the same price but please choose option 1 if you just want to ride the scenic chair only and option 2 for both the scenic chair and the alpine slide. Dinner & Cottage Grove Theater – ‘The Good Doc’

Fridays were made for dinner and theater and tonight is sure to be thoroughly enjoyable. We will begin the evening with a fabulous dinner and then wrap it up with an amazing performance. American playwright, Neil Simon dramatizes several short stories by Russian author Anton Chekhov in this amusing concoction, first produced on Broadway in 1973. The play consists of a series of sketches, narrated by a character called The Writer, who introduces the stories, comments on them, and occasionally plays a role in them. Get ready to be entertained. Solar Eclipse 2017

Today we will join OMSI at the Oregon State Fairgrounds where we will celebrate the unique experience of complete darkness for close to two minutes. The Solar Eclipse Viewing Party will include science lectures, astronomy–related community groups, entertainment, and more. This is an early one but it’s going to be a memorable event so you don’t want to miss it! Food is on your own and no outside food is allowed into the amphitheatre. Seat cushions are allowed. Dinner & ‘Spamalot’

Tonight we are off to one of favorite theaters in Cottage Grove. We are going to see ‘Spamalot’ which retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. ‘Spamalot’, won the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical and is going to be incredibly entertaining so get ready folks!! Elegant Vine & Dine

Join us as we head south to Roseburg to enjoy some wine tasting and an elegant dinner at the Parrot House. This area of Oregon has some incredible wines and today you will get to taste and enjoy them. After wine tasting we will head over to the historic Parrot House; built in 1891 with its Queen Anne style, octagon mode, and prominent turret with views in all directions. Depoe Bay Salmon Bake

Salmon cooked Indian style on stakes held up against an open fire is the highlight of this annual event at Depoe Bay.  Generous portions of salmon are served with tartar sauce, lemon wedges, garlic bread, coleslaw and beverage.  Special entertainment is a bonus.  Enjoy the coastal scenery from Depoe Bay to Florence on the route home.  Cost includes: the salmon bake and transportation.

Overnight Trips

 

Christmas in Leavenworth | December 3-6

Leavenworth is a town specifically designed with Christmas in mind so get ready! You’re going to love it! We will be staying at the Enzian Inn, right in the heart of things. We’ll be busy during our 3 night stay but you will also have free time to do as you please.  It’s the prefect mix. A lighting ceremony will highlight our arrival, followed by a delicious dinner. During our 3 days, we will we will indulge in an incredible daily breakfast that will get your motor going every day and enjoy a fun sleigh ride with humor and hot chocolate. We have planned three special dinners that will have your taste buds singing. Two special and wonderful concerts; a harp concert and a hand bell concert. There will be a visit to the Liberty Orchards where they make applets and couplets and a stop at a wonderful market on our way back to Leavenworth. Your cost covers everything except two lunches. There will be ample time for you to explore and shop on your own so no worries if you want to buy some holiday gifts. Space is limited. Reserve your spot now with a $200 deposit. This money is only refundable if money has not been paid out. You can sign up now or immediately following the presentation if space is still available.
