KARATE AND SELF-DEFENSE
Learn modern self-defense concepts and techniques united with classic Karate forms and methods, with major emphasis placed on women and children’s self-defense. Self-defense training includes expanding your knowledge of the potential dangers, and personal awareness of your surroundings, as well as improving your physical defensive skills. The classic Karate training includes the use of ancient and modern Kata (forms) to learn the science of movement to generate power and improve agility. Included is the traditional method of recognizing achievement and advancement with the colored belt system, based on the performance of various Kata, the knowledge of martial arts history and self-defense concepts. TAE KWON DO
Tae Kwon Do is a traditional Korean martial art performed with empty hands, bare feet and strong spirit. Students in the beginning of class will learn kicking and hand techniques for self defense, while developing their physical fitness and self confidence. The intermediate class offers advanced training in non-contact sparring forms of self defense skills for students wishing to advance in the belt ranking system.
