Minimum age 16 for water exercise classes (Those under 16 can contact the Aquatic/Fitness Supervisor for permission to enroll in a class with a responsible adult.)

Water Exercise Classes

Deep Water Exercise

Aerobic intensity level. Designed for the active adult. Provides a 20-25 minute aerobic fitness segment. A progression of exercises maximize cardiovascular conditioning and enhance flexibility, range of motion, muscle strength and toning.  Priority registration given to adults capable of an aerobic pace.

Seniors In Motion: Deep Water

Moderate-to-active intensity level. For adults who remain active amongst their peers. Increase flexibility and range of motion in a no-impact environment while working on strengthening, toning and conditioning. Priority registration given to ages 55+. Other adults permitted to register/drop-in with instructor approval.

Seniors In Motion: Shallow Water

Moderate-to-active intensity level. For adults who remain active amongst their peers. Improve strength, balance, posture, endurance and agility in a moderately paced activity conducted in 4-6 feet of water. Priority registration given to ages 55+. Other adults permitted to register/drop-in with instructor approval.

Motivated Seniors – Combination of Deep & Shallow Water

This moderately paced exercise program begins with 10-15 minutes in shallow water then progresses to the deep end of the pool for 40-45 min. The class is designed to develop flexibility, strength, and endurance. Priority registration given to ages 55+. Other adults are permitted to register/drop-in with the instructor’s approval.

Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program

This 45-minute shallow water program is ideal for people with arthritis and arthritis-like conditions, as well as general muscle stiffness and/or chronic pain. Led by National Arthritis Foundation-trained instructors, our program provides joint (range of motion) movement, overall body core (abdominal and lower back) strengthening, and muscle endurance, balance and flexibility segments. Class intensity will be kept to a beginners’ level. Those wishing an increase in intensity must enroll in a different class.

Water Exercise Orientation/Review

Are you new to Water Exercise or returning after an absence? Register for a 30-minute, one-on-one orientation to the world of water fitness. Emphasis will be on proper water exercise equipment use, as well as identifying correct posture and standard exercises for shallow and/or deep water. Upon completion, the instructor will recommend the next step to take for your water exercise endeavors. Be sure to arrive a few minutes early, so as to meet your instructor and fill out a participation form, (includes medications and medical history). Please bring a swimsuit & towel, as the session includes both dry & water times. Registration fee can be applied towards a complete session of water exercise classes during the current term.

Lap swims are available to individuals 16 years of age or older. Students 11-15 years of age MUST be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. At least 2 lanes (M-F) or 3 lanes (Sa-Su) are available for lap swimming. Please check with pool cashier for pool updates to facility schedule.

Water Jogging and Individual Water Exercise

Water jogging and individual water exercise lanes are available to individuals 16 years of age or older. Students 11-15 years of age MUST be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Fees

Family members include parents and/or legal guardians, and their children (this includes adopted and foster children) under 21 years of age who reside at the same residence.
In-district patrons will need proof of residency.
Coin lockers: $.25. Locker punch card: $5/20 punches.
BONUS: Out-of-district family swim-pass members and A.S.A.P registrants are eligible for in-district fees for all recreation and aquatic programs.
