Introduction to competitive swimming

Ages 5-12. Coaching and instruction in stroke mechanics and competitive starts and turns. Swimmers may transfer to the White Group at any time. Prerequisites: swim front crawl with side breathing 15 yards, and 25 yards on their back. Be comfortable in deep water. 1-2 practices per week.

Ages 5-College.Swimmers of all abilities to compete against others of their own age/gender. All members need to be registered with United States Swimming (USS) prior to swimming any U.S. Swimming sanctioned meet ($57/year). Contact Bill Kuzmer at 541-461-7777 or Rhonda Reed at 541-688-4052.

WHITE GROUP

Grades K-12. Designed for a variety of swimmers:
• New to competitive swimming.
• Wishing to improve and learn new strokes
• Experienced with swim team, but not ready for Red Group. Prerequisites: swim 25 yards front crawl and 25 yards back crawl. 3-5 practices per week. Fees will be pro-rated.

10/24-3/16 . . . M-F . . . 5:15-6:25p . . . 3x/wk: $300 . . . 5x/wk: $360

RED GROUP

Ages 12+. Prerequisites: swim all four competitive strokes (as designed by U.S. Swimming rules) and be ready for some challenging practices. Coach's approval required. Minimum 5 practices per week. Fees will be pro-rated.

Fee: $400

Additional fees:
• Unites States Swimming Registration $57/anually. (Due prior to swimming US swimming sanctioned meets)
• Swim meet entry fee account $30 balance. (Entry fees vary depending on the number of events swam at each meet)

ELIGIBILITY
• All athletes must complete the registration process prior to swimming.
• Non-registered athletes will be denied access to the pool.

Family Participation

Family Participation
River Road Sim Club depends on the volunteer time of our families to help support and run a successful club. We require families to help with our fund-raising and volunteer efforts. Without this, the dues for each swimmer would dramatically increase. For more information contact one of the coaches.
