Recreation Swim

Open to individuals of all ages. Children 43" tall or shorter MUST be accompanied into the pool by an adult who must be at least 18 years old.

Family Swim

Facility Amenities

Pool Our 15 yard x 25 yard, indoor pool is open year round and kept at 84 degrees. There is a 1 meter board, aquatic toys, water exercise equipment, easy entry ladder, and a hydraulic lift. A play pen is available for use on the deck, in the dressing rooms or in the Fitness Center.

Outdoor Wading Pool Open in the summer only. Call for hours. Open to all children under 48" tall. All children MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult 16 years of age or older, who remains within the fenced area at ALL times. The wading pool is FREE and will be open weather permitting 70 degrees and sunny. Please limit 4 children per adult. If the weather is questionable, please call the pool, 461-7777, to see if wading pool will be open.

Dressing Rooms Hair dryers, coin lockers, swim suit extractors, infant changing table, and play pens are available. An accessible shower is available. Children 5 years and older must use same gender dressing rooms.

Family Changing Room A separate changing room is available for families or those bringing an attendant of the opposite gender. The family changing room is equipped with an accessible shower, toilet, sink and changing area.

Spas We have two in-ground spas, open year round, one covered with a canopy skylight, the other uncovered. Together they accommodate 30 people. Temperature is kept at 102-104 degrees and they are handicapped accessible. Children 17 and under MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian into the spa/sauna. Sauna Our sauna is a dry heat room lined with untreated kiln-dried softwood. It is heated by igneous rocks and located in a secluded, quite area. The sauna accommodates 6-10 persons. Children 17 and under MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian into the spa/sauna. (Please limit 4 children per parent or legal guardian.)

Massage River Road Park has several licensed massage technicians on staff to help relieve you of tension, muscle soreness and introduce you to the world of total relaxation. YOU control the environment and the type of massage - from deep tissue sports conditioning to a gentle, soothing touch. Relax in the hot tub before or after your appointment at no additional charge. To schedule an appointment call the pool office at 461-7777. All appointments must be made and paid for in advance. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Facility Rules

Swimmers must supply own suit and towel.

Street shoes are not permitted on pool deck.

Cut-offs may be worn only if hemmed and clean.

“Aqua-sock” type footwear is only permitted when clean and worn only inside the pool.

All patrons must shower thoroughly before entering pool/spa/sauna.

Floatation devices such as water wings, rings, buoyancy swim suits, and inflatable toys are not permitted.

Coast Guard approved life jackets are only permitted under direct parental supervision.

Individuals under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and those with disrespectful behavior will not be permitted to use the facility.

“Bullying” will not be tolerated.

Coin lockers are available. Cost is 25 cents. Locker coupon book available - 20 coupons for $5.00.

Our facility is accessible and meets ADA requirements. Motorized doors are activated by push button switches. The pool is accessible via easy entry stairs or by Hoyer hydraulic lift, and the hot tubs are accessible by Hoyer hydraulic lift. The family change room is available for individuals assisted by an aide of the opposite gender. Handicapped parking is available near the front doors.
